Reforestation

Forests are important and complex ecosystems.

We depend on forests for our survival; from the air we breathe to the wood we use. Besides providing wildlife habitats and livelihoods for humans, forests also offer watershed protection, prevent soil erosion and mitigate climate change. Yet, despite our dependence on forests, we are still destroying them.

Deforestation is happening rapidly worldwide. Deforestation causes extinction, changes to climatic conditions, desertification and displacement of populations as observed by current conditions and in the past through the fossil record. More than half of all plant and land animal species in the world live in tropical forests.

Tree-planting programs are actually developing tree plantation, which might help the economy but fail to sequester the carbon that the countries originally pledged to.

According to National Geographic’s investigative article, “How to regrow a forest: Get out of the way,” to plant natural forests have not worked the way they were intended to.

So nature does not need our help to regrow a forest!!!

Let's give nature a chance to rewild again.

Rewild allows nature to let wildlife thrive again and gives the accelerated development of forest structure, species composition and canopy.

Trees are the earth's one and only source of free oxygen.

However, forest lands that are badly degraded cannot be regenerated unless plants have been planted by using native methods.

Your donation will support communities across India with the resources they need to do reforestation in forest lands that are badly degraded.

You can also do it on your own. :)
